Shortly after 9:30 p.m , Monday July 5th, 2010 units from the Second Battalion were dispatched to the 100 block of 36 Street Se for smoke in the building.
Engine 27 first arriving reported light smoke showing on the top floor of a two-story apartment building.
Firefighters enter the building and located a fire in the walls between the top floor and attic area of the building
After spending nearly three hours on the scene pulling dry wall and ceiling, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured and the cause of the stubborn fire is under investigation
