Old Engine Company 1

 On January 5, 1867 they moved to 1643 K St NW from  Pennsylvania Avenue & 21st Street NW

Old Engine Company 2

                         1204 D STREET NW                        719 12th STREET NW

On September 23, 1871 Engine 2 became part of the District of Columbia Fire Department and moved to a new fire house located on D Street NW on January 5, 1897. On November 9, 1910  Engine Co. 2  moved again to  719 12th Street, NW and

                                              Old Engine Company 3

 308 Delaware Avenue  NE

 On May 1, 1875  moved to 308 Delaware Avenue  NE until November 26, 1916 when they moved to a new three-story fire house at 439 New Jersey Avenue NW

Old Engine Company 4

 On September 12, 1940 the company moved to old No. # 7 Engine House at 931 R Street, NW. Thirty-six years later the company moved to a new two-story three bay fire house located at 2531 Sherman Avenue, NW

Old Engine Company 5

3210 M Street NW

On November 17, 1883 the company moved to the old Georgetown City Hill at 3210 M Street, NW. Many years later, on July 2, 1940 Engine Company 5 moved to 3412 Dent Place, NW in Georgetown

Old Engine Company 6 & Old Truck Company 4

                 438 Massachusetts Ave NW                     219 M St NW

On February 17, 1879 Engine 6 was placed in service at the old quarters of  Metropolitan Hook & Ladder Company located  at 438 Massachusetts Avenue NW . On June 27, 1974 the company moved to their new fire house at 1300 New Jersey Avenue NW

Truck Company 4  was placed in service as Truck Company "D " on March 1, 1896 and as located at 219 M St NW until July 26, 1974 when they moved in to their new fire house with Engine 6 on New Jersey Ave NW

Old Engine Company 7

931 R Street NW

Organized on January 22, 1885 and located at 931 R Street NW

Old Engine Company 8

637 North Carolina Avenue                                                

 Organized on January 22, 1889 at 637 North Carolina Avenue SE The Department's Training School was also located in the rear of the fire house along with the black smith and barns to house the fire department's horses

Old Engine Company 9 & Old Truck Company 9

1628 U Street NW

Old Engine Company 13

Engine Company 9 was placed in service 1893 on September 6, 1893 at 1628 U Street NW. On October 24, 1966 the company moved across the street to a new two bay, one story fire house at 1617 U Street NW.

Truck Company 9 was placed in sevice at the present quarters of Engine 21 on  Lanier PL NW.  On October 22 1976 the company moved to their new fire house on U St NW. 

Old Engine Company 10

1341 Maryland Ave NE

Went in service on July 2,1895 at 1341 Maryland Ave. On June 4, 1940 Engine 10 moved to the quarters of Truck Company 13 at 1342 Florida Avenue NE

 Old Engine Company 11 & Truck Company 6

1336 Park Road NW

 Truck Company "F" ( Truck 6 ) was organized and placed in service at 1336 Whitney Ave. N.W. (now Park Road N.W.) Several years later Engine company 11 moved from  3119 14th Street N.W to Truck Co 11 quarters.

 Old Engine Company 12

1626 North Capitol Street NW

On July 1, 1897 Engine Company 12 was placed in service at 1626 North Capitol Street

Old Engine Company 13

942 G St Sw 

Engine Company 13 was organized on November 26, 1904 at 942 G St Sw 

Old Engine Company 15 ( razed )

2101 V ST SE 

Engine Company 15 was organized at 2101 V ST SE  on April 15 1898

Old Engine Company 18

On November 18, 1905 Engine 18 was placed in service at 1001 9th ST SE

Old Engine Company 24

3702 Georgia NW

Engine Company 24 was placed in service on November 29, 1911 at 3702 Georgia Ave NW.

Old Engine Company 26

   2700 22nd Street  NE                    

         On July 9, 1913 Engine Company 26 was organized at 2700 22ND ST Ne  

Old Engine Company 27

Engine Companu 27 wasplaced in service on June 15t,1914 at their present location

Old Rescue Squad 1

413 8th St NW

January 20, 1925 Rescue Squad 1 was organized and placed in service in the quarters of  719 12th Street N.W.
